(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka says the conservation of the wetlands is a timely social responsibility.

The program was organized to mark the World Wetlands Day, which falls on 2nd February. A Wetland Biodiversity Workshop will be held on the 3rd February from 7 am to 5 pm at the Diyasaru Park. The program will include guided bird watching and butterfly walks, lectures on urban wetlands, wetland birds, fish, reptiles, fishing cats by local and foreign experts and kids programs and the entrance is free.
