The latest case is a recent returnee from Bangladesh, according to the Health Ministry. With the new, four individuals have been detected to have contracted the virus, so far today (28). Previously, three individuals including arrivals from Pakistan and Kuwait were confirmed to have tested positive in PCR testing. Currently, 365 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry. Meanwhile, with 22 more regaining health, count of recoveries reported in the country to hiked to 1,661. Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the virus thus far.
