Inter-provincial bus service commences

The Inter-provincial bus service commenced today except in Colombo and Gampaha. Buses coming to Colombo on five main routes will not be allowed to travel to Colombo.

All Buses terminate the drive from the following locations.

* Inter-provincial buses from Kandy road terminate the drive at Nittambuwa.

* Inter provincial buses on Colombo 05 route terminate the drive at Minuwangoda.

* Inter-provincial buses on Galle road terminate the drive at Panadura.

* Inter-provincial buses plying from Avissawella to Colombo by High Level and Low-Level roads terminate the drive at Avissawella.

* The inter-provincial buses plying from Anuradhapura, Puttalam and Kuliyapitiya will end at Negombo.

* Buses coming from the Southern Expressway terminate their journey from Kottawa.

All Buses start at 4.30 am and end at 6 pm. It is compulsory that passengers wear face masks.

It has been strongly advised that healthcare systems should be carefully maintained when travelling by bus.
